Founders

Alexis and Austin had always dreamed of creating a space where people could achieve their fitness goals while being uplifted by a sense of community and faith. One day, as they prayed and reflected on their vision, they felt a profound certainty that God was opening a door for them. This sense of divine guidance led them to pursue their dream of founding a gym. With this newfound clarity, they embarked on a journey to bring their vision to life. They found the perfect location in The Colony, TX, and with unwavering faith, they transformed it into FLEX Fitness. The gym features dynamic workout spaces and equipment, including squat racks, Concept 2 rowers, and a turf area for sled pushes, all within a welcoming environment where God’s presence is felt in every corner. Today, FLEX Fitness stands as a testament to how God’s guidance and timing can lead to extraordinary opportunities. Alexis and Austin’s story is one of faith, perseverance, and the fulfillment of a divine promise, creating a place where fitness and faith come together to inspire and strengthen the community.

A Client Success Story I’m Proud of:
At the end of 2021, I met a young woman who had almost given up hope.
She was only 28, but years of injuries and surgeries – seventeen in total – had left her in constant back pain. Some days, the pain was so severe it kept her in bed. She couldn’t even lift her arm overhead without the fear of throwing her back out again. Her job was close to requiring her to wear a back brace full time.

She was a former gymnast, someone who once moved with grace and confidence, now trapped in a body that wouldn’t cooperate. But beneath the pain, I could see her drive – and I knew that if she was willing to show up, I’d be honored to help her rebuild.

We started small – just one session a week. We focused on restoring movement patterns, rebuilding strength from the core outward, and teaching her body to trust itself again. Within a year, the pain that had once controlled her life was gone.

Then, in 2023, she suffered a severe knee injury while running. We went back to the basics – leg strength, hip mobility, stability, and balance. Six months later, she was moving without pain.

By 2024, new challenges surfaced – wrist tendinitis and neck pain. Again, we tackled it together. Through posture work, joint mobility, and functional strength training, she not only recovered but crossed the finish line of her first 5K in over three years.

What makes me proud isn’t just the results – it’s her perseverance. Her faith. Her refusal to quit.
It’s proof that when the right mindset meets the right guidance, healing and strength are possible – even with just one hour a week.

Ninja with a Twist I’m a 5-time American Ninja Warrior who’s actually afraid of heights – proof that courage isn’t the absence of fear, but the choice to climb anyway. Chef & Music Lover When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me cooking something creative, moving to good music, or dancing like nobody’s watching – sometimes all at once. Cookie Connoisseur I’ll be honest… my relationship with cookies isn’t healthy, but it’s definitely delicious. Faith-Driven Purpose I love God, the ninja community, and the opportunity to serve others through movement, encouragement, and authentic connection. Grateful Heart Every day, I’m reminded that life is a gift. I don’t take a single moment for granted – and I’m on a mission to help others move better, live stronger, and overcome every obstacle.

During my time as a tennis coach, I had the opportunity to work with so many amazing kiddos and adults. Watching my kids grow in their athletic abilities was so rewarding. Implementing programs to improve strength and mobility were my focus. These programs transferred over to their on court abilities to improve playing consistency and agility.

A Client Success Story I’m Proud of:
As an intern in my fitness career journey, my client success stories are currently through the dancers that I’ve coached. One story I’m exceptionally proud of is a dancer named Lily that I worked with in private lessons for 5 years. Through my guidance and training, I helped her achieve making her high school varsity dance team as a freshman and later become the Captain of that dance team. Watching her grow in her technique, physical capability and confidence is why I love doing what I do. I’m excited to take what I know about training dancers and translate it to a gym and fitness environment. I truly believe with encouragement, self-belief, knowledge and consistent action you can achieve anything you want for yourself. I’m so proud to be a part of the Flex Fitness Family.

Flex is very community driven and focused which keeps everyone accountable & focused. Flex also offers a great way of training so the client learns training instead of just lifting weights, they learn a bit of the reasons why each movement is good for what etc.
A Client Success Story I’m Proud of:
I had a client that was battling some thyroid issues for years and she couldn’t keep the weight off, she was around 20 then. Once we started implementing weights, she started to see how strong she was, started to notice she needed one hour to herself. Once she got comfortable in the gym/ with the weights, we started adding cardio, with intuitive eating. She instantly started seeing results and not just in the mirror, her thyroid numbers got better, her doctors lowered her medicine dosages, she did not feel the need to see the doctor that often. She physically saw her strength but once she saw her mental strength her whole life changed. We have been training for 3+ years, she is now a great friend who I still guide through her gym journey from afar!
